ZigBee
ZigBee is a low cost, low power consumption, two way, wireless communication protocol. It is based on the 802.15.4 IEEE Standard. ZigBee is targeted at RF applications that require a low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking. It can be used in a host of applications such as Home Automation, Industrial Automation and Control, Automated Meter Readings, Wireless Sensor Networks etc. It operates in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands; 868 MHz in Europe, 915 MHz in the USA and 2.4 GHz worldwide.

A Course on Zigbee from Jennic:

This e-learning course introduces the fundamental concepts and principles of the ZigBee standard for modern wireless networks. The course does not assume any specific previous knowledge of wireless networks. A technical background and a general familiarity with the idea of a network should be a sufficient foundation.

The Course consists of the following six modules:

Module 1: ZigBee Essential Facts and Features

Module 2: ZigBee Topologies

Module 3: ZigBee Software Architecture

Module 4: ZigBee Applications

Module 5: ZigBee Reliability and Security

Module 6: ZigBee Initialization and Operation
