ZigBee
|
| ZigBee is a low cost, low power consumption, two way, wireless communication protocol. It is based on the 802.15.4 IEEE Standard. ZigBee is targeted at RF applications that require a low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking. It can be used in a host of applications such as Home Automation, Industrial Automation and Control, Automated Meter Readings, Wireless Sensor Networks etc. It operates in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands; 868 MHz in Europe, 915 MHz in the USA and 2.4 GHz worldwide. |
